Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup diced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomatoes, and condiments for toppings
Instructions:
In a skillet, saut the diced onions and mushrooms until theyre tender
Set aside
Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and flatten them into thin patties
Place a spoonful of the sauted onions and mushrooms onto 4 of the patties
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the onion and mushroom mixture
Top each stuffed patty with one of the remaining patties and seal the edges to form 4 stuffed burgers
Season the stuffed burgers with salt and pepper
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat
Grill the stuffed burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or two until theyre lightly browned
Assemble the burgers by placing a stuffed patty on each bun, and add lettuce, tomatoes, and your favorite condiments
Serve hot, and enjoy
