This firecracker shrimp recipe combines succulent shrimp with a spicy and sweet sauce, creating an explosion of flavors in every bite. Perfect for parties or as a quick and tasty appetizer
Ingredients:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- Oil for frying
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions:
Put Sriracha sauce, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a bowl and mix them all together to make the sauce
Mix all-purpose flour and cornstarch together in a different bowl
Cover each shrimp with the flour mix
Put oil in a deep pan or fryer and heat it over medium-high heat
Fry the shrimp in batches for about two to three minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy
Take the shrimp out of the oil and let them dry on paper towels
Toss the fried shrimp in the sauce until it covers them all
Before serving, top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds
